Haole & Ono Hawaiian Cuisine was founded by Chef Jason Miller, "The Haole" with one simple mission: to provide a taste of the islands right here
on the mainland. Jason loves to share his passion for food with others as well as provide an experience for his guests that is second to none.
Haole & Ono is for everyone. It is for Hawaiians who simply miss home and more over the food it offers, it for those who have visited this magical place
and want a taste of more. Most of all it is for those who know nothing about Hawaiian cuisine as Chef Jason and the entire team love to see people
try new things and fall in love with the food just as they have.
The Haole & Ono culture is all about great food and fun times. The fun starts with it's name. Haole & Ono gets it's name from two words. The first
is pidgin (a type of Hawaiian slang) the second is an actual Hawaiian word. The first word is "Haole". This is someone who is not of Hawaiian decent
and lives on the mainland. Chef Jason "The Haole" does not hide the fact that he is not in fact Hawaiian. He does however make some good Hawaiian
food which brings us to the second part of the name. "Ono" which simply means good.
So when you visit our truck expect to have good food served up by the Haole. Also don't be surprised if you learn a few other pidgin or Hawaiian words.
But be warned if you yell "howzit Haole" you might hear back "howzit shark bait". Just remember it is all fun and games as we are all "ohana" (family).
